In light of Castro’s recent passing, I thought that I would share with you a paper I wrote last spring (2016) that reflects upon Cuba’s architectural history.  In the broader discussion about Cuba’s future, it is important to look at how Cuban identity has been impressed upon its architecture of the past.

“0,0” is a continuation of the “For the People.” It focuses on the very active edges of uninhabited spaces from the perspective of the origin of low lying planes.  This film was shot on Iowa State University’s main campus in fall 2016.
